Videographer Travel Fee

Travel within 30 minutes of Bellevue is free. Beyond that, a simple $1 per mile, round trip.

Travel is free within 30 minutes of our Bellevue base, which puts the entire Greater Seattle Area at no extra cost. Beyond that radius the rate is simple and published, so there are no surprise line items on your invoice.

How the travel rate works

Distance is measured round trip from the videographer base in the Bellevue area. You can check your Bellevue city page to confirm a location sits inside the free zone, and the same rate appears next to everything else on the pricing page.

  • Within 30 minutes of Bellevue: no travel fee, included in the hourly rate.
  • Beyond 30 minutes: $1 per mile, round trip.
  • Overnight shoots: add a hotel.
  • Out of state: a custom quote covering flight, hotel, and per diem.

Drone work, real estate media, and out-of-area ad shoots are the bookings most likely to cross the free 30-minute radius, so it helps to confirm distance up front.

Do I need a contract or retainer?

No. A standard hourly or per-shoot booking needs no long-term contract or retainer. The only commitment is a 2-hour minimum per shoot. Larger or ongoing projects, such as a monthly content program, can run on a monthly retainer or a contract when that fits better, but it is never required for a one-off shoot. If you are new to the process, how to book a videographer walks through each step.

What is already included

Travel is one of the few add-ons, because almost everything else is built into the booking. You keep all of your raw footage with full commercial rights, and edited video is delivered in 24 to 48 hours. Editing runs $75 per hour and includes one free revision round, so the travel line is the only location-based cost you need to plan for.
